It's been a while, but the flowers return in 2025!
Normality returns
It's been a turbulent couple of years, with the rollercoaster of life throwing a variety of personal challenges my way as it often does for many of us. This resulted in the flowers taking a backseat for a while; they were always there, they just didn't quite make it out to you, apologies.
But I've been working hard to prepare for 2025 and will be opening the shop again as soon as the first tulips begin blooming around April/May.
Planning ahead
Over the past 18 months lots has been happening on the plot. Over 50 beautiful scented garden roses have been planted which will be producing amazing blooms to fill the shop in June and July.
Not just any tulips
More than 1,500 beautiful double and parrot tulips have been safely tucked into the ground in recent weeks. These stunning flowers change daily, aging gracefully in the vase; a world away from the traditional supermarket offering. Below are a few examples of what you can look forward to next April and May (providing the mice and squirrels don't find them to snack on over winter!).
Looking ahead
The tulips will be first, but throughout 2025 there will also be several annual flowers such as sweet rocket, nigella, larkspur and cosmos available at different times of the season. Later in the year (usually August onwards) there will also be an abundance of amazing dahlias, as I've collected lots of fantastic varieties over the last couple of years.
